Cambodia Embassy in Brunei Darussalam
The bilateral relations strengthened over the years through high-level visits between leaders of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam. In particular, the two countries’ cooperation has recently recorded remarkable developments.
First of all, their diplomat ties have been constantly strengthened and solidified through a series of visits by the two countries’ high-ranking leaders. Samdech Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia led a delegation to pay an official visit to Brunei Darussalam in August 2000; Senior Minister HOR Namhong meets with Brunei Ambassador in September 2001 and February 2006 respectively. Meanwhile, Sultan of Brunei pays a visit to Cambodia in 2007. It is significant that the ties between Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam are growing day by day.
In the spirit of strengthening friendship and cooperation, our two Trade Ministers have signed a Trade Agreement between Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam. The signing of this Agreement is an evidence on demonstrating a new step towards strengthening and developing further the close and wide cooperation between our two countries. The Trade Agreement and the Agreement on Air Services between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam were signed.
Besides, Cambodia and Brunei, both members of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN), have openly discussed strengthening bilateral ties in recent months.
