Cambodia Embassy in India
The bilateral relations strengthened over the years through high-level visits between leaders of the two countries. In 2002, at the invitation of H.E Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, the Prime Minister of India, H.E. Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, paid a State visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from 9 to 11 April 2002. Such visits deepen and strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
At the same year, H.E Senior Minister HOR Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperationn, led a delegation to pay an official visit to India from 13-15 March 2002. India announces contribution of USD 1 million for the Extraordinary Chambers of Cambodian share. India is the first country to support the Cambodian share of the budget.
The first meeting of the Cambodia-India Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation was held in Phnom Penh in May 2006. Both party signed the Agreed Minutes of the First Meeting of the Cambodia-India Joint Commission.
