The legend of Angkor Wat – When history comes to life
From 24 November 2007 – 20 January 2008, Angkor Wat, Siem Reap

Enjoy the warmest Khmer hospitality as you begin this spectacular evening with a leisurely stroll along a traditional Khmer village market bustling with various folk performances, local delicacies, arts and handicrafts.

Angkor Wat will then explore in an extravagant display of lights, sounds, water screen, and other special effects. You will be transported back in history during a time when this ancient wonder of the world was once center of a powerful empire. Angkor Wat comes to life and becomes an enchanting backdrop for a great historical story-telling rendered through unique Apsara dances and contemporary Khmer performances.

Additionally, there will be a special celebration featuring the official national APSARA on stage with hundred of Cambodian performers amid an extravagance of lights and sounds. During the event, guests will take pleasure in a sumptuous dinner which promises to be a gastronomic delight.

Act 4 – Scene 2 – The Glorious period of Angkor Empire: Apsara takes Henri to stand with the people. The spectacular procession of King Suryavarman II approaches. At the royal pavilion, the King seats to watch the firework show.

Act 6 – Scene 1 – Back To Present: Henri is back to the place where he loses consciousness. He looks around confusedly. His colleagues notice that Henri stares at the bas-reliefs for a long time. They walk to him and about to touch the Apsara on the wall when Henri holds his hand to prevent them from doing that and said to them that “We should not disturb her. Our great duty is waiting for us. No matter how tiring and difficult it is, we must try to accomplish. Let’s go.? Henri leads the group into the temple. The carving of Apsara on the wall smiles. Light illuminates the temple displaying its great grandeur.
