We just returned from Cambodia -
1- E-visa process was simple and fast.
2- Entry into country was quick, experienced no problems
3- Beautiful and interesting area. BUT very hot and humid.

The E-visa procedure was simple and straightforward. Now, despite the review page urging us to check our entered data, one erroneous piece of data slipped through our checking. We tried an email to the staff, but expected an automated response asking us to start from the beginning and pay again…
To our surprise there were friendly human beings at the other end of the line. We promptly got a fiendly email in return and a correct e-visa! Wow! Thanks again.

This was a remarkably straighforward and quick process; I was issued with a visa less than 24 hours after submitting my application. Hopefully other countries in the region will follow Cambodia’s lead.

This is the BEST idea ever. It’s so stressful sending your passports out to the different consulates and waiting for it to return. I hope all countries will follow soon.

This was the best experience I have had getting a visa. The on-line form was easy to fill out, and four hours after I submitted the form, I received a reply with the visa approval. I hope all other countries will follow suit.

The evisa process was very easy and quick. Absolutely loved our trip to Cambodia. The sights were great and the people were terrific.
We stayed at the Royal Angkor Resort. Didn’t use many ammenities as we were sightseeing most of our waking hours. The hotel was nice and a little over $100USD per night. When I got the credit card statement, we were charged three times, but one call to the credit card company and all was better. The hotel was having troubles with the credit card system when I checked out, so it was probably an honest mistake.

We tried several times to apply to have visas but each time after completing the forms and submit, nothing is happening. We are leaving the USA October the 31 2007. Could you help? Is it too late? Thanks Andre Blanchet

1. It could be picture too large problem. Pls reduce your picture to 300 x 300and save into JPG format. If you are not sure how to do this, just email your picture to photo@mfaic.gov.kh
2. Use another computer or Web browser (firefox)?
3. Print screen the form and email to us, we will debug.

I found this website through the Luxe Guide. It’s a Godsend! The service is outstanding and extremely efficient. I received my visa in less than 12 hours. When I noticed that there was an error with my birthday month on the visa, I wrote back to them and within 10 min. they sent me a new visa with the corrected birthday! There is no other country in the world that can top this kind of service and efficiency! I can’t wait to go on my trip next week. Keep up the great job! I hope more people will use your service. I took 22 school pupils to Cambodia last week and the entire process of arranging visas for the group online was easy and relatively inexpensive (when comared to a aneighbouring country!). The officials in Siem Reap were fast and efficient in processing the documents, and we were thoroughly impressed by the way the Cambodian Customs and Immigration Department has paid attention to the need for travellers to have a hassle-free way to manage such matters. Thank you for setting the way forward for the rest of the world.

I can’t believe it took so long – 9 hours!
Just kidding :)
Given that I sent it at 3am and the approval email was sent at 12:30 and govt workers probably start work at 9am, 3.5-4 hours was amazingly fast.
What a fantastic customer experience. World class and possibly better than some countries such as Australia.
I can’t think of any country whose govt that would entertain editing your digital photo for you, so I would say that this tourist visa system is probably the best in the world for customer service.
This is probably asking too much, but hopefully the rest of my experiences in Cambodia will be just as pleasant :) But the Cambodian govt has certainly set the standards high.

The time it took me to fill out the online form, uploaded the picture, paid, and got the pdf Visa back, 60 minutes! It’s clean and simiple to use, the system is bugs free. All i have to do now is to gear-up my photo equipment and ready to see Siem Reap and the Angkors. What a joy.

E-visa system is very simple and I could get Cambodia visa at a low price. Thank you! If I have a chance go to Cambodia in the future, I’ll use this again. However, it’s better we can enter the country without visa about sightseeing…

We just returned from Cambodia. Process of registration of the visa was simple and fast. With e-visa we have much more reduced time of transition of border in Piophet. Thanks a lot. Excellent service!

Some reservations regarding transit at Bavet border crossing from Vietnam into Cambodia. Obtaining the e-visa was simple online but the information already supplied and provided on the printed out visa appeared to be required yet again by completing a similar form at the e visa immigration channel.
I remain to be convinced that the procedure for those with no visa took a greater amount of time to complete the formalities, as travelling by bus I was able to observe passengers who had visa’s and those without.
Only the two of us had the electronic visa and there was no queue at the e visa channel but most of the bus passengers appeared to have completed their entry formalities before we returned to the bus with ours complete.

We received 2 visas with expiry date of 3 days within entry into Cambodia. We arrive on January 31,2008 and our visas expire on February 2nd 2008. Is this ok, should it be like this? if not how do i go about correcting this error.

Hi Sami,
The Visa website states that they issue the visa with 3 month validity from the date of issue. I think you applied too soon for your visa- ideally december would have been better… Nov-Feb is the 3 month window!

It was so simple and smooth… I got my e-visa within minutes. I recommend e-visa to anyone travelling to Cambodia.

Hi Sami,
e-Visa is valid for 3 months after the date of issue.
You can use e-Visa to enter Cambodia anytime before the expiry date.
Once you enter Cambodia even on the last day of the expiry date, you are allowed to stay up to 30Days.
So if your trip is delayed and you enter on e-visa expiry date, Feb 2, 2008, you are allowed to stay up to Mar 2, 2008.

e-Visa application was super fast and convenient, when we arrived there was a line of tourists who had to apply in Siem Reap, too bad there was no official at the e-Visa entry counter to make it faster. Loved our visit, don t miss Lake Tonle Sap!

Chris, you can apply your tourist Visa online at http://evisa.mfaic.gov.kh. It is launched officially by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia last year. You need a digital picture and credit card to make payment online. The process is easy and you will get your Visa ready, sending to you by email. Just print it out and bring it along to Cambodia.

and I think lots of other countries should learn from you instead of wasting people’s time,and shorting thier holiday to wait for thier visa.

The e-visa program was very convenient and easy to use. certainly Cambodia is to be congratulated on this program. Other countries should follow this system to avoid the long and inconvenient process of getting visas for anyone who does not live near a consulate or embassy.

1. Prompt delivery – within 1-2 days to your mailbox !!!

The e-visa process was realy easy en user friendly. The visa was delivered the day after I applied. One thing I realy appreciated with this service was that I did not have to organize sending my passport to the embassy. Last, the entry to the country was quick and easy.

I work as a web Developer and I am often accused of being over critical of websites, the e-visa process was fantastic. Easy to understand website, quick to use, looked good and clear understanding of what is going on during the process. Looking forward to using the visa very soon.
