Cambodia truly made a giant leap forward than most contries I’ve been travelling to by introducing the e-Visa.

eVisa system worked really well, both during the application process & upon arrival at Siem Reap airport. I wish other countries would come into the 21st Century & follow-suit, no more worry about losing your passport in the post & having to wait 2-3 weeks for the privilege.

The e-visa was very easy to get as we live in France in the countryside, far from cities with consulates or embassies. We crossed the Poipet border very easily we only got cheated by local tuktuk drivers who forced us to exchange money at a very bad rate, be careful and try to know the currency rates of the local money before you cross the border…

I’m just coming back to France from my trip in Cambodia. Enjoyed : people are very freindly and helpful, beautiful country (Angkor + Tonle Sap = must see). E-visa worked perfectly : no queue at Siem Reap airport. I got the visa in 48 hours, with a photo downloaded from my computer. Very easy.

The E-Visa was great, although I was surprised that they never took the second copy when we exited Cambodia. I was also surprised to discover we had to pay $25 tax per person to fly out of the Siem Reap airport.

Travelling with E-Visa was really easy and relaxed. Immigration was a much quicker process than the process other travellers had. I’d choose E-Visa again.

Getting an e-Visa was very simple and I would live that other countries would provide that option as well. When we got to immegration it did not really provide us much advantage but the ease of getting the Visa makes it still worthwhile. Our visit to Cambodia was great and I can recoomend it to everybody to go and visit it before too many tourists discover this beautifull country.

We just assertain an evisa via Web and email. We received it after two tries.
The visa was ready in less than two days including weekends.
We still reserve ourselve to this visa as to whether it’s genuine or not. We will find out when we get to this entry point.
We are also aware of the crooks out there. We will come back and post our comments.
Oh! I had a visa with no expiration date. That was how I obtained because they would allow us with come and go at anytime. Ofcourse, we had connection. At the entry point, the officer were looking at me, at my bag, and my cellphone. He was interested in my cellphone more than anythingelse. Then he kept talking about the cellphone. I ofcourse knew that he wanted the cellphone. Yet, I said that it was just a cheap one. Then he realized that only a few people could obtain unexpired visa. Then he allowed me to go through.
In the same manner now, I will see what happen with this evisa if it’s really genuine service.

My wife and I recently visited Cambodia and used the e-visa process to obtain our visas. I found it very user friendly and easy to use. The visa arrived promptly. Entry to Cambodia at Seam Reep was simple and we were very pleased we had gone with E-Visa when we saw the line for applicants applying for visas on arrival. E-Visa is a great innovation. I wish other countries would adopt the process.

Just like comment #1813 said, the E-visa is so user friendly. At first I too thought if the whole deal is legitimate but my worry was over when my husband & I passed the immigration at Siem Reap. I applied my visa a few days b4 the trip and the visas were actually ready within an hour. No lineup landing visa at the Siem Reap immigration was fabulous. I highly recommended.

Our travel agent told us about eVisa for our trip to Siem Reap. What a fantastic travel tool~ simple, fast, easy and allowed us to sail thru customs at the airport, while the vast majority of the plane load lined up at desks to obtain a visa. Our guide told us Cambodia wants more visitors to come and they are sure doing the right thing by making it so easy to visit.

This is a fantastic, hassle-free way to get a Visa – it’s SO easy! I really wish other countries would adopt this method. I also sailed through Customs in Siem Reap while other people had to queue for their Visas. I will definitely be back to Cambodia – magnificent, magical country!!

Getting the e-visa is easy and saves you the hassle of going to a consulate. However, when we were crossing the land border from Vietnam into Cambodia (Bavet), we were ignored at the e-visa counter, made to wait even though there was no one else with an e-visa and an immigration officer tried to solicit a 5 USD bribe from us to process our passports (which we refused). The bus left without us (but with our luggage) and it was the bus attendant that came to our rescue. If it was not for her, we would be stranded without our luggage. We found Cambodia to be a wonderful country and loved the people but something clearly has to be done about the Bavet crossing.

The eVisa is very simple, but curiously, the Cambodian immigration officers have not worked out that the entry process should be faster because of this, we still queued for a long time and it seemed that they were not geared up for this in Siem Reap. Angkor was amazing however and worth the wait!

The e-visa service in Cambodia is simple and officers in Poi Pet border crossing were adequate. Just be sure to have at least 2 copies of e-visas (you can staple one in your passport) and the other printout for the immigration office. No extra service fees required. The time in immigration office goes mainly for filling out the arrival cards, other operations were smooth and fast. Cheers!

What a wonderful service! The application was easy to understand and I received my e-visa two days later.
The immigration officers at Phnom Penh airport had no problem recognizing the e-visa and I was the first one out from immigration.

The e-visa process was simple and quick. Compared to other visas I’ve recently had to apply for (waiting on huge queues and taking days off work) it’s like a breath of fresh air.

I didnt have any problem at the border immigration.
but other people(applied visa at the border) say they did.
the problem is, why does the government let those collapted officers do what they are not supposed to do?
again for me, i spent a wonderful time in cambodia

Beautiful! This makes it so easy to travel! The whole procedure was so simple and you even provide a software to crop the photo to the right size. This is a great start and I am already excited about my visit this lovely country. I truly hope other countries follow suit.

I just suggest to make a multilanguage information campaign for tourist, against scammers, thieves and all that kind of people hanging around the area between Thai and Cambodian customs, in Poipet. It has been made the same on the public areas in Venice (Italy); it could be good also if the police sometimes made a check on this area. Those guys always are at the same places.. it was simple also for me to recognise and report to the police the name of the guy who stole my money, just 4 days later it happened, when I went back.

Crossing into Poipet after dark was very easy. Note sure how much the e-visa really helped since we got there so late in the day. We did get harrassed a lot by locals, and majorly ripped off with currency exchange. Watch out for people who act like your best friend but just want your money…

I’ve used it three times and it’s fantastic.
One negative comment, the instructions say to give one copy at entry and keep one copy for exit. Yesterday, at entry the immigration officer wanted TWO copies of the visa. Why? Now I don’t have a copy for surrender at exit.

My visa was recognized by the immigration officer at the Phnom Penh Airport. He told us that we didn’t need to do it from the US. He could do it easily. Yet, the evisa is only valid for thirty days. We knew that. He then proceed to say that he could stamp a new visa with no time limit at no cost. My wife let him do it. Then he asked us for $23.00. At this point, we realized that we are in their territory. We can never win. So, we decided to pay without any questions.
People have told us about that before. I experienced it myself many years ago. We thought things are different now. I guess it’s not. So there we were again. We lost under pressure of corrupted officials, or distortion.
